About the Artist

Stephen Paschal, (b. 1945) has been painting since he was a young boy.  He spent most of his later youth traveling and learning the styles of the great masters, learning to paint everything in order to fully achieve a sense of expression.   Seeking a faster lifestyle, Paschal moved to Europe early on where he lived a bohemian life of sketching and painting with other artists. Initially in Paris, and later in Germany for nearly a decade.

“Painting is a language”, Stephen Paschal says, “with varying moods and applications. Regardless of what the subject matter I choose, I want the viewer to share with me the time, atmosphere and emotion that went into the artwork.”

After moving to Hawaii in the 60’s, he was heavily influenced by the breathtaking beauty of the Islands and this reflects itself in his sea and landscapes.

Paschal feels that rather than focus on any one motif as a painter, that the true artist should explore all subject matter.  Today his paintings grace homes and businesses worldwide.  Paschal is known among his peers as a solid painter who can paint literally anything and whose work achieves a painterly and vibrant style that is now highly sought after by collectors and appreciators world wide.

Since 1969 the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith have been the pivotal influence in Paschal’s life and paintings, with the emphasis on unity in diversity and the highest regard for craftsmanship expressed in his work.
